Summary of Monitoring Objectives:
The FWP AIS Bureau conducts early detection surveys to detect new populations in a timely manner to eradicate or contain a population and prevent spread to other waters. It also tracks current distributions of aquatic invasive species across the state. Where feasible and funding is available, the Bureau works to eradicate and control problem populations. The AIS Bureau strives to collaborate with groups interested in sampling for aquatic invasive species and can help train them as well.
