Summary of Monitoring Objectives:
Since 2008, citizen scientists have been collecting water quality data on local streams that are used by multiple entities to assess the success of restoration efforts and overall watershed health, and to monitor trends and raise awareness as growth continues within the watershed. This program is operated in partnership by the Gallatin Local Water Quality District (GLWQD) and the Gallatin Watershed Council. Gallatin Stream Teams monitoring currently supports GLWQD's Surface Water Monitoring Network program.
