Summary of Monitoring Objectives:
The primary objective of the Northwest Montana Lakes Network is to collect baseline water quality trend information on 41 lakes in NW Montana to assist resource managers in the decision making process. The program also engages in early detection monitoring for AIS and promotes watershed stewardship in lakes in NW Montana. This program is a partnership between Whitefish Lake Institute, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, and over 50 citizen scientists.
